AMHA’s Youth Contest is a four-phase competition designed to test your skills in various equine related areas, and accommodates any level rider. Phases include:
- Horsemanship Test (video submission)
- Judging four classes—two in hand, two performance
- Presenting a speech on a horse-related topic
- Riding or driving a horsemanship pattern (video submission)
Awards to the high scoring competitors will be made in the following age groups:
- Leadline (7 & under
- Walk-Trot (8-13)
- Junior Exhibitor (14-17)
- Youth (14-21)
The awards ceremony will take place Friday night during the NYS Sweepstakes!
